Appraisal Event and Auction to Benefit Trinity Episcopal Church
WHEN: Saturday, June 22, from 3 pm to 6 pm
At 4:30 pm, Gordon Converse will give a talk about about antiques and the history of the Roadshow.
Following Gordon's talk, an auction will be held with proceeds to benefit Trinity Episcopal Church.
WHERE: Trinity Gulph Mills Episcopal Church, 966 Trinity Lane, King of Prussia, PA 19406 (parking map)
WHO: Gordon Converse, famed antiques expert and former evaluator on PBS' The Antiques Roadshow. Mr. Converse's specialty is paintings, furniture, and clocks but he will evaluate any item (except jewelry) by giving its probable history and estimated value to the best of his ability.
WHAT: Bring your antique or inherited paintings, drawings, porcelain, furniture, etc. Please bring photos only of large furniture pieces or other large items. Mr. Converse will provide his evaluation of the items with you. He will then give a half hour lecture at 4:30 pm on antiques and the history of the Antiques Roadshow. He will also take questions as well as discuss some of the oldest or most interesting items that he evaluated that day.
COST OF ADMISSION: $10 per person in advance or $12 at the door - CASH OR CHECK.
COST OF ITEMS TO BE EVALUATED $5 per item (limit 5 per person) - CASH OR CHECK.
If you are registering items at the door, please call 610-828-1500 on Friday the 21st (12pm-4pm) to ensure we have enough tables.
Snacks and beverages will be available to purchase. Wine and beer will also be available for a donation.
